Openhearted therapy through play
I believe in the power of connection—both with ourselves and others. I’m passionate about being outdoors and find inspiration in activities like gardening, rock climbing, cycling, backpacking through the mountains, and simply cloud watching. These moments in nature remind me of the importance of presence and mindfulness, values I integrate into my work as a therapist. When I’m not outside, I love to create. Whether I’m baking, cooking, embroidering, crocheting, or painting with watercolors, the act of making something with my hands has been an incredible source of joy and self-expression. Embracing imperfection in my creative process has taught me valuable lessons in self-compassion, and I carry that same mindset into my therapeutic work. I encourage my clients to be kind to themselves as they navigate their own journeys of growth and healing.
Healing begins with connection—whether to ourselves, to others, or to the world around us. At times, life’s challenges can leave us feeling disconnected, making it difficult to find our footing. Through therapy, we work together to restore those connections, creating a strong foundation for growth, resilience, and lasting well-being.
Understanding the Deeper Needs Behind Challenges. I believe that beneath every difficult behavior lies an unmet need. When working with children and teens, I take a whole-person approach, considering the influence of their relationships, environment, past experiences, brain development, and family dynamics. Understanding these factors helps create the conditions for healing and lasting well-being.
